The “Radio Memphis Road Crew Series” is bringing even more insight to the table for our emerging artists and entertainers by sitting down with some of the best industry pros that work behind the scenes of that incredible record you just bought, that awesome live show you just saw, or even that fantastic event you might have attended.

We did a “Radio Memphis- Road Crew Radio” series interview with Rory Rory’s career began when he packed his ride with everything he owned….including only having about $1000.00 in his pocket and headed to New York. There he hit the pavement and landed jobs working in some of the biggest recording studios in Manhattan such as Soundtrack NY and The Power Station. As a recording/mix engineer Rory has had the opportunity to work with artists as varied as Meat Loaf, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Dream Theater and Lisa Loeb to name just a few. He even did stints as a tour manager and went on the road with acts including Nightwish, Saliva, Symphony X, Finntroll, Epica, Kill Hannah, Iced Earth, KAMELOT and Collective Soul.

As an independent audio engineer, Rory has traveled the world and been a part of it all in his nearly 30 year career in the music business. Whether it has been in the recording studios…live concerts or event production. Sound is Rory Romano’s world. D caught up with him for a live phone interview and talked about his career and what advice he might would give to the up and coming.
