Dirty D Gets International Attention

Written by on December 1, 2014

Our very own Dirty D got some well deserved international recognition from The Women’s International Music Network. The WiMN is an organization aimed at connecting women who work in the music and audio industries. From women who work behind the scenes at record labels, production houses, and management companies, to women at musical instrument manufacturers, music retailers, music teachers and more. Plus performers, artists, publicists, instrumentalists.

The WiMN is founded by Laura B. Whitmore, a music industry veteran who spent 20 years as the marketing manager for the Korg, Marshall and VOX brands. Laura writes a column for Guitar World that focuses on female players. She is the producer of the Women’s Music Summit and the owner of Mad Sun Marketing, a marketing and PR agency for music and audio. She’s also a bad-ass singer/songwriter who hosts a open mic night monthly in her town of Lafayette, Calif.
