Serving as the sound engineer for the Grand Rapids Symphony for the past 20 years, David Dansir McCullough has also been known for having been an audio engineer for the premier convention center DeVos Place and DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids,Michigan, as well as, having served as a former president and continuing to offer assistance for sound engineering to IATSE Local 26, the West Michigan Stagehands which has served the entertainment industry in West Michigan since 1894 to bring productions to life in the Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Holland and St Joseph areas by using their unique skills in many facets of production: from lighting, audio, video, scenery and rigging, to hair, makeup and wardrobe; from production management and special event coordination, to corporate industrial videos, trade shows and major motion pictures.

What you may not know about David “Dansir’ McCullough is that he has over 40+ years in the music business and is most definitely a veteran from behind the scenes, having worked with artists such as Bob Seger, Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Pat Benatar, Ace Frehley , Vinnie Vincent , Alice Cooper, Billy Thorpe , Billy Idol, Triumph, Fogha , The Tubes, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, The Rockets, Bad English,  John Waite and Cheap Trick. “Dansir” McCullough was there to help shape some of the concepts of how to put together a great record how to set up a great stage and how to put on a great show.

D sat down with DANSIR McCullough for a live phone interview as part of the Radio Memphis – Road Crew Radio Series this past Saturday (SEPT 9th)  to talk about his career, why they call him “Dansir” and what it’s gonna take for someone to make in this business and he definitely didn’t sugar-coat it.
